TRAVIS SCOTT AND ASTRO WORLD—-SOME THOUGHTS
My sister and I have different views about Travis Scott. She likes him and my view are under construction. My sister watches the Kardashians and likes them. My views are under construction about them. I have some thoughts about the Astro World incident.
Less than a week after the deaths of people at the show, I was still in shock. I could not believe or understand the judgement of the adults who attended the affair with children. I met Drake’s alleged limousine driver for that night in Discount Auto and we discussed the event. His take on the affair was that there were too many people who were allowed to sneak in and they jeopardized the lives of paying clients. He cited general admission tickets as the problem. Michael Jackson never had anything but assigned seats at his concerts. He would purchase a number of tickets and make them available for the poor to avoid scalpers. He would also add shows when the demand was great. This was not done. The promotors were not accustomed to an event of this magnitude. They underestimated the popularity of Travis Scott. I would never leave my home to see anyone not named Michael Jackson. My sister loves Kylie, Stormi and Travis Scott. She loves Travis Scott. Travis Scott has blown up since the Superbowl. He may be too big for this venue now. There were venues where Michael Jackson could not perform because he had gotten too big. He was capable of creating a riot with his presence. Travis is not there but he is getting there and the promotors were over their heads. The security was inadequate. They did not anticipate almost fifty percent of the people sneaking into the show without paying. Nobody could anticipate this much illegality. This was a case of emotional contagion out of control. Drake’s limousine driver felt that the lighting was poor for the affair. He stated that the performers could not see from the stage because of the lighting. I have another reason but for legal reasons, I will not express it here because it could affect the lawsuit. It is clear that there were multiple reasons for the incident. We will see what comes out of the lawsuit. I cannot understand parents and adults taking children to a Travis Scott concert. Travis Scott is not a Michael Jackson who welcomed children and performed for any age group. My sister would not agree with me on this. Such is life! We cannot agree on everything.
