Terror in America
The Patriot Act and crime have created terror in America for its citizens.
Lt. Arnold in sworn testimony on the record testified that he and the Task Force had burglarized my home in a series of warrantless searches without probable cause in order to find enough evidence to support a warrant. There is no greater terror that one can experience than having your home invaded by strangers. To have your possessions and property stolen and touched by others is terrifying. To know that our government feels that warrantless searches without probable cause protect anyone from terrorism by creating terror in their lives is a mystery to me. To have a criminal in your home touching your prize possessions and stealing your mementos and life treasures is unpardonably horrible and strikes terror in your soul. The most loathsome person on earth is a burglar who is a criminal or a law enforcement officer.
All of my life, I avoided the areas of high crime. In Houston, crime is everywhere. When you have limited income, the situation is different. As a social worker, I used to tell clients that any port in a storm is sometime better than being homeless. I had never lived in areas of high poverty. It is a totally different experience. People in this situation, steal the sweet out of sugar. Your home and apartment are burglarized almost every time you leave. They steal everything. They steal your clothes, shoes, purses, bedspreads, sheets, towels, dishes, silverware, food, furniture and even your books. The same things are stolen repeatedly. My silverware has been stolen four or five times. They have no boundaries. They teach their children how to steal and have values that are anti middle class values. Add the government to that and you have a terror like nothing a sane person can tolerate. At one point in time, I had neighbors stealing from me, attorneys sending crooks to burglarize my home, the police burglarizing, prosecutors sending files to my home or someone from a clerk’s office sending documents, the FBI and Secret Service burglarizing. Documents were being destroyed as fast as I could pay for new copies and the new copies would be stolen. No one can imagine the terror this creates in one’s life. I would probably have been run crazy if I were not a therapist who could do good reality testing. I also refused to give these forces power over me by remembering how I had handled things in the past. For example, when I had two bad automobile accidents and was fearful of driving, the psychiatrist at one of my placements had me to remember the accidents over and over in order to obtain ego mastery. I also recalled how I had handled bad situations in the past. When I first moved to Michigan, I was attacked coming out of a store. I fought and kept the robber from taking my purse. Two men on each side of my car did not intervene. Another time my purse was snatched with $10,000.00 in it from a settlement from the city. I chased the robber, jumping over hedges and running across streets until I caught him and slung him down and got my money back. Another time, squatters tried to set up a crack house next to me and threatened me. I threatened him back and warned him not to step foot on my grass again and went inside and loaded my guns. He and his crew moved out during the night. I realized the burglaries were designed to terrorize me and make me leave. I will not give in to terror but moving is the option. I had to end the burglars power over me by exposing them to the public. Terrorist will only stop if you stop them. Thieves and crooks will also continue to steal from you until you stop them. I have never accepted the victim role very well. So I went public about the judicial corruption and the burglaries. To know that men have died and will continue to die and be wrongly incarcerated if I do not speak up about what happened to me motivated me more than the thought of my not being re-licensed. What happened to me should not be repeated on anyone. I must end this reign of terror on me and others.
