BIDEN’S SECRET WEAPON–GIRL POWER AND DECENCY
Biden has a couple of secret weapons–Jill Biden and Decency.
I met with several groups this week and I heard some interesting versions about why people were supporting Biden.
One version was that at first, he was not perceived as strong enough to go up against Trump. Secondly, he did not have enough money to beat the other candidates who were running. He did not have the energy to do that much running around. Bernie had a heart attack. Then some women spoke up and said, “Did you see the way Jill Biden attacked the person who was trying to get to Biden. I noticed that. She was ready to defend Biden. She is smart and strong. She will protect him and look out for him.” I thought—he has girl power on his side. “This affected my decision,” said one woman.
Another said, “I was struck by his decency. He will restore decency and integrity to the White House.” A white male spoke up and said, “He is Obama’s Vice-President. We have some history with him. He will try to do his best. He loves this country and he will try to do his best for all the people. He will not try to divide us up all the time.” I thought–positive transference from President Obama.
Finally, it was kind of a group consensus that people were proud of the way they supported Biden when he did not have any money. “We did not want him to spend all that money and run around like crazy. He did not have it. We knew that we could protect him by coming out to vote.” The group felt that he had not always made the right decisions but he would err on the side of helping people and the country. Biden showed a little temper in a debate and they liked that he stood up for himself. ( The men liked this. Especially the Black men.)
I concluded that the women feel that Biden has a secret weapon in Jill Biden who is perceived as smart and strong; the men liked it when Joe Biden stood up for himself and stopped being perceived as weak and a pushover. They all liked his decency and goodness. They liked his healthcare option the best. GIRLPOWER AND DECENCY were Biden’s strong points. He had a secret weapon of GIRL POWER IN JILL and DECENCY. Everyone felt that he was authentic and trustworthy.
